Welcome to North Ward Elementary and the Home of PAWS the Tiger!

Our North Ward family of students, staff, families and the Tuscola community work together every day to create a positive and productive environment where children learn and grow each day on their educational and life journey. We are committed to the use of developmentally appropriate and research-based practices to provide each student with the best academic learning environment that will also meet their social-emotional needs.  We also have fun learning every day to help create lifelong learners and wonderful, productive citizens!

North Ward Elementary is a Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) school that recognizes three school-wide expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, & Be Safe. These three expectations help each child, from Pre-K through fourth grade, make appropriate choices to be successful in our school community.  Having the support of our families in their homes makes our learning process stronger with behavior as well as academics.

We are also a place of growth for everyone as we focus on the Growth Mindset rather than the Fixed Mindset. We believe all students can learn and can achieve at a high level. We are working hard to make sure each child has the best opportunity to succeed as well as having amazing experiences while here at North Ward.
