Please join us in congratulating Alyssa Hegarty, Brayden Taylor, and Braxton Moody for earning 1st Team All-Conference honors in Scholastic Bowl! The Central Illinois All-Conference 1st Team had 6 individuals this year. We're proud to say that half of the 1st Team walks our halls each day! Congrats to these three and kudos to Coach Bill Ludwig and Coach Kelsey Anderson for their leadership.

Thank you to Reegan Willoughby and Trinity Jean for providing our staff with lunch at the HS today! Both students attend the Culinary Arts program at LIFT in Mattoon each afternoon and decided to make the meal for their semester project. It tasted as delicious as it looks!

We've had a great morning learning about taking care of our skin in the sun, bug bites, and how to avoid poisonous plants. Special thanks to Carle College of Medicine for providing this awesome opportunity for our students. The color changing beads activated by the sun were a huge hit!

Unfortunately, we're unable to play tonight's Girls Basketball game in our gym due to drainage issues in the locker rooms. The game has been moved to Shelbyville. We will reschedule our free admission and Joe's Pizza night for another home game. Good luck to our girls this evening! For those attending in Shelbyville, please be reminded that the JV tips at 6pm and is a shortened game. The Varsity game will start much earlier than normal.

Calling all TCHS students! Admission to tonight's girls basketball game is FREE for all TCHS students. However, it gets even better-----The first 80 students in the student section will get a big slice of Joe's Pizza. Bring your friends, get to the game, and let's have some fun rooting the girls on to a victory over Shelbyville! The JV game starts at 6pm and is a shortened game so the Varsity game should start at approximately 6:40pm! Thank you to Joe's Pizza of Tuscola for helping us create an entertaining environment for our students.

A huge thank you to Class of 2020 TCHS alum, Nick Williams, for stopping by basketball practice today to give each female and male basketball player and coach a pair of Nike Sabrina 2 custom basketball shoes! We're blown away by Nick's generosity and his loyalty to our basketball teams!

The E.P. Student Council volunteered for the Santa Shop at the community building last night! Volunteering can be a powerful way to make a difference in the world and to improve yourself. It can help the students learn more about themselves and their passions, and it can also help develop practical and professional skills.
