Final from last night's 3rd place CIC Tournament game.
We do want to recognize TCHS Senior, Reese Davis. Coach Hornaday and Coach Rosenbaum received an email this morning from one of the officials at last night's game. Below is the report from that referee.
"During last night's girls’ varsity contest between Tuscola and Warrensburg-Latham, I witnessed an extraordinary example of sportsmanship that I feel deserves special recognition. After the game, I spoke with Coach Rosenbaum and learned the student-athlete's name is Reese. Throughout the contest, Reese demonstrated exceptional leadership on the court. She encouraged her teammates, showed respect toward the officiating crew and treated opposing team with class and respect. Late in the game, Reese was instructed by her coach to foul to stop the clock. Even though the foul was on purpose, she immediately apologized to the opposing player. In my nineteen years of officiating, I cannot recall witnessing a moment that better exemplifies true sportsmanship. Reese competed with integrity and sported a winning attitude even though her team was losing. She deserves recognition for her conduct on the court and credit is due to her parents for raising a respectful young lady."
